Get Involved

There are lots of ways you can get involved with COG. From doing some individual or group fundraising to becoming a rep and getting your church involved in something special.

Fundraise for us

If you would like to raise valuable funds to keep the work going we would love to hear from you.  Working as a team to fund raise can be encouraging and uplifting so why not suggest it to your church.

Whether it’s a cake sale, car boot sale or a sponsored bike ride or mountain climb we can help by publicising your event on our social media sites. We’d also love to hear how it went and use your feedback to inspire other churches to action.

You can download a sponsorship form here and apply for a fundraising pack of postcards and pens. We can include COG T-shirts at a cost of £5 each.

You could also use our COG piggy banks to fund raise which can be placed at the back of your church or your home for donations.

Your church

We would love your church to get involved in fundraising for COG, supporting our latest appeal and promoting current ideas and sending in your own!

Let us hear about a community project your church has set up or supports. We are quickly building a database of current projects from around the country, which we are calling case studies. These will help to inform other churches, however big, small, young or old, about some outreach projects they could do.

a few volunteers

There's nothing better than working with a group of like-minded people with a focus on giving back to the community.

a city-based church

In a city, often outreach opportunities are right on your doorstep, such as helping the homeless, or getting involved with local charities/food banks.

young people

We are looking for 18-30 year olds to become the COG rep for their church. It gives you the opportunity to guide their outreach from a fresh outlook.

APPLY FOR A GRANT

 Grants awarded so far:

May 2018: Liverpool City granted £500 towards a project that supplies rucksacks for asylum seekers.

One of our three objectives is to help you to fund your own outreach projects. We hope that we can then spread the ideas this generates and build up links. So whether you want to  open a food bank, set up a cafe or have a new idea that needs funding to get off the ground, then please use this form to apply. We plan to set up and distribute a series of outreach case studies which will help to get the ideas flowing.

We would love to hear from you!
